What is the "hashtag limit"?

In accordance to Instagram policy, with one authorized business account you can monitor up to 30 hashtags simultaneously. This means that with one Instagram business account integrated in SentiOne, you can use a total of 30 different hashtags in all projects in SentiOne. You can check the number of already used hashtags under the Instagram #hashtags field

How to increase the limit of available hashtags?

You can increase the number of available hashtags by authorizing more Instagram business accounts in SentiOne. For a single authorization the limit is 30 hashtags, so by connecting 3 Instagram business accounts, you can use up to 90 hashtags!

I replaced a few hashtags with new ones but I don’t see any new results

If you reach the limit of 30 hashtags used and soon change some of them to new ones, you probably need to wait a few days for the results to update. According to Instagram policy, it is possible to monitor 30 different hashtags per week. If a hashtag cannot be monitored due to the 7-day waiting limit, we will notify you by coloring hashtag in yellow

Hint!

There is a possibility that the hashtag is yellow not because of 7-day limit, but because the limit has already been used in another tool, in case you use SentiOne and other social listening tool simultaneously.
However, same hashtags are not doubled in the limit!

• "#sentione" used in SentiOne and other tool as well, still counts as one hashtag used (1/30)
• "#sentione" used in SentiOne and "#senti" used in other tool will show the limit of 2/30 hashtags used in SentiOne

How can I figure out where I used the hashtags if I have a lot of projects?

On the projects list, find the blue badges with information how many hashtags have been used in a given project, e.g. 2 #. If there is no blue chip next to the project name, it means that no hashtag is monitored in that topic.

If you have a very long list of projects, use the option Show only projects with hashtags, thanks to which you can easily filter the projects in which you have used Instagram hashtags
